Welcome

Hi, welcome to Dawn of the Dragons Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the Mobile:Jershan'thurn's Portal (Raid) page.

Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! FMF (talk) 04:48, March 18, 2015 (UTC)

Raid tables format

Which format do you think is better?
FMF (talk) 21:52, May 4, 2015 (UTC)

Crafting pages

I saw your test pages, there is a reason the header and closing of the table are not included in the transclusion (see example below)

{{CraftTableHeader}}
<onlyinclude>

{{CraftBox
|result=
|item1=
}}

[...]

</onlyinclude>
{{CraftTableEnd}}

the reason is that it allows you to combine several tables into one by simply transcluding them (and adding the header and footer):

{{CraftTableHeader}}
{{:<crafting_page_1>
{{:<crafting_page_2>
{{CraftTableEnd}}

rendering the pages using <tabview> disregards the <onlyinclude> tags

FMF (talk) 09:47, May 31, 2015 (UTC)

Ok that makes sense, cheers for the tip. Do you have any suggestions on how to set up the All Crafting tab for mobile? I planned to use a tabview until i realized it wont render pages with a tabview on them. Seemed moving all the tabs content onto 1 crafting page, one after another with a header to split them an a toc would solve it, but that would create a huge event page. This is the crafting tree from mobile. Any suggestions would help. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 11:17, May 31, 2015 (UTC)

I would restore the <onlyinclude> tags and create the combined tables with transclusions (ie. {{:<PAGENAME>}}).
then use tabview to display the combined pages.
The reson we used tabview on the web version is because there is a hard coded limit to transclusions and that was the only way we could display all of the crafting formulae in one page (because it renders it when you click, as opposed to preloading everything beforehand).

Yeah i will re add the tags, wasn't aware i needed to add the open an close template at the time. Thats should solve the problem, couldn't seem to think past using the tabview. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 12:31, June 4, 2015 (UTC)

Main page revamp

Hi, Gracey91!

I was wondering if you could provide some feedback to the ongoing main page revamp conversation; I'm especially interested in anything you might think mobile users would like to see on the main page.

Best regards,

Thanks Lorak. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 07:50, August 20, 2015 (UTC)

Undead troop/general counter

I fixed the queries, it's quite easy to do with DPL.
The problem with an automatic list for the essences is that the essences themselves are not categorized by type, I suppose it is possible to check them by nesting a query within the query but an easier solution would be to add categories to the essences' pages.
What do you think?
FMF (talk) 19:26, November 13, 2015 (UTC)
I read a bit in the DPL manual, and it was much easier than I thought
the list seems good and the syntax is not too complex.
FMF (talk) 19:55, November 13, 2015 (UTC)
Sounds good. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 14:42, November 20, 2015 (UTC)

New format for recipes

Hi Gracey,
you probably noticed that we made a new format for recipes
I wanted to ask you if you'd like to convert the mobile version recipes as well
are the categories the same or did 5pg revamp the crafting categories on the mobile version as well?
FMF (talk) 19:36, February 7, 2016 (UTC)

Unfortunately it doesn't appear correctly on mobile devices so won't work. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 06:57, February 11, 2016 (UTC)
In this case we should create a template that is mobile friendly, it can use the same data and display it differently.
Can you create a mobile version friendly example? will a list be better than a table?
FMF (talk) 17:19, February 12, 2016 (UTC)
Tbh i have no idea where to even start. I barely manage with templates for web let alone mobile specific ones. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 14:15, February 13, 2016 (UTC)
I will gladly make the template and convert the recipes to use it, I'm just unsure what is the best way to display the info as I view the wiki on the pc exclusively.
If you can link me to the xml.zip file for the mobile version, I will be happy to add the content as well.
FMF (talk) 16:35, February 13, 2016 (UTC)

You can preview edits in the mobile skin, button next to desktop preview, I've used it before and that is how it looks on mobile. Mobile doesn't have an available XML either sadly. I contacted the devs to see if they would give me access but they won't. Makes it a bit of a pain to add the content. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 16:53, February 13, 2016 (UTC)
It might actually be possible to get the xmls, currently I found a few that are not the latest version, I'll have to try finding the newest ones when I get my laptop back.
Is there a specific xml you want me to try and get?
FMF (talk) 13:33, March 4, 2016 (UTC)

the version of xml I found is from v1.3.61 of the app, but I don't know from when exactly

FMF (talk) 13:35, March 4, 2016 (UTC)
That would be great, I'm not sure how the xmls work so any would help I gather. 1.3.61 is the current version in the app store too. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 14:45, March 4, 2016 (UTC)
I'll work on adding them, check {{Projects}}FMF (talk) 18:03, March 4, 2016 (UTC)

Awesome! Thanks for tracking that down. Will start to sift through it and add whats missing. Gracey91 (talk contribs count) 10:30, March 5, 2016 (UTC)
