| Over the centuries practitioners of animal husbandry have attempted to breed creatures from different parts of Tor'gyyl, in an effort to discover if animals which would never encounter each other in the wild can produce offspring. Thunder ligers, sometimes created when one breeds a lion with a tiger, are among their most impressive achievements. Not only are they larger and stronger than either parent, but they can lash out with elemental power. Mages are at a loss to explain this phenomenon, though they believe it might indicate that lions and tigers are descended from an eldritch beast of prehistoric times, and that a union between them can reawaken something which lies dormant in their blood. | |
