| Explorers who braved the harsh deserts of Hazach came upon a block of stone, its corner uncovered by the eternal shifting of the sands. They saw from its neatness that it had been worked into shape by industrious hands, not by time and nature, and curiosity caused them to stop and dig. Their arduous labors unveiled the ruins of a temple, buried beneath dunes for untold centuries -- a broken edifice that might have existing long before the time of Terracles. Upon its worn slabs they discovered carvings, depictions of creatures that possessed the upper bodies of men but the lower bodies of scorpions. They believed they had found evidence of a prehistoric kingdom. | |
