Though born with many talents, Mathias was idle and slovenly -- unwilling to exert himself and use his gifts. For this the gods cursed him. By their edict he would walk Tor'gyyl as an immortal, enduring the passing centuries. And in all that time he would never experience a moment's happiness until he had mastered all the skills and arts of man. Thus he has wandered ever since, spending the decades mastering each realm of knowledge in turn -- that he might one day know peace. This long and arduous journey has won him many followers, who flock to his side and marvel at his myriad talents.

Additional Info: There are currently 873 troops in the web version of DotD. Mathias can summon any troop apart from unique troops.
