Wanted to throw this out to you guys, and see what you think is a better format for the quest tables. I was thinking of using the tabber code the same way we did on raids, but that's up for debate. The question is the tables themselves. I can't decide if they should be laid out in the format Poke:squirtle already set up on Fields and color code the left column boxes, or use the same format as the raid tables, color code the top row for each difficulty, and list each quest consecutively. and it's rewards related to that difficulty.

In the latter format the appropriately cropped quest image would be placed in the leftmost column, squirtle's way, the image could be centered at the top of each table.

Let me know what you guys think. -- Jakk Frost 03:15, September 29, 2010 (UTC)

Not sure yet which/what I think is the better way. Probably too tired to picture either one accurately enough. I'll sleep on it and get back to you, mm'kay? What I do know is that we need to fit the Quest Story parts in there somewhere too. :) And maybe in the far future someone might want to find out what the drop rates for different items are for each Quest... Anyway, TTYL -- LockeDG 23:00, September 29, 2010 (UTC)
EDIT - And there might be two more columns necessary to prepare for: "Experience/Energy ratio" and "Attacks(/Actions) needed to complete." Oh, and I uploaded the images for Fields if you wanna play around with the formats... -- LockeDG 23:13, September 29, 2010 (UTC)
EDIT2 - So I couldn't get to sleep before I thought about it some more. Decided I couldn't explain it so I made a table/pic of the [[::File:Questable.jpg|suggestion.]] Feel free to delete the picture after you're done if you want. Anyway, at least to my tired mind that looks handy and simple. -- LockeDG 01:01, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
EDIT3 - Frak! >< Ahem... I don't know if the last column info should be in how many attacks you complete the quest or how big a percentual a single Attack takes off the whole... Anyway, this wondering mind goes to sleep now. =__= -- LockeDG 01:05, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

Heh wow, talk about insomnia. I like the idea of an energy to xp ratio table, but someone else would have to do the math. I don't think, at this point at least, that gold is crucial enough to worry about a ratio. Your format looks pretty good, though we should have a column for possible drops. Drops rates are problematic in this kind of game without using a parser. I doubt everyone who'd even think of editing wants to stop after every click so they can keep track of what dropped each time. It would be different if we had something like wowhead's item tracking software, but that's just way more than needed here, yet anyways.
I really should try and work on a mockup of what I was thinking tablewise, for the other format anyways. You've mostly got what I was thinking of (and what squirtle laid out) for the first kind. Lorewise I'm still debating whether to include that in the quest tables or in the Burden's Rest page, with each quest linking to it's related page. -- Jakk Frost 01:47, September 30, 2010 (UTC)

Yup yup. I think the lore etc could very well be put collectively under the main map area page instead of the individual pages. And yeah, loot drops would be needed too. I mean, after you talking about the rates, I realized it's not gonna be anytime soon that they'll be needed so basically a list of possible loots would propably be enough... Will ponder on this a bit on the side. :) -- LockeDG 08:35, September 30, 2010 (UTC)
So, i made a tabbable questtable similar to the ingame one, of what i think would work for the per page quest tables on Town Square thinking the lore could either be a mouse over text on the quest pic, or a link to a lore list on the Main area Burden's Rest page?, votes/suggestions anyone? before i apply this any further? - Lorak990 07:12, November 6, 2010 (UTC)
I created {{Texttip}} that you could try to use for quest lore. Given some more time, I will try to make some nicer looking tooltips. -- Fandyllic (talk · contr) 4:40 PM PST 9 Dec 2010
