| Once the war with the dragons started, the Night Blades sent the king a letter signed with thirteen drops of blood - believed to represent the organization's thirteen masters. It promised that their assassinations would cease for the duration of the conflict, and that their members would be free to turn their blades against the kingdom's enemies should they wish to. The only condition was that their people be left unmolested when they joined the fight - rather than being apprehended and charged with their past crimes. | |
