For as long as people have been exploring the Forbidden Forest, there have been stories about terrifying ghosts lurking between the trees. Of course, this isn't true: The elves and their druids drove the ghosts out of the region ages ago. But. There are still stories. Stories of shadows that flit through the woods and stalk the living unlucky enough to come across their path. The few people who have seen these creatures and lived report they look like rangers composed of pure darkness. Few features can be identified, but those terrible glowing eyes are said to burrow straight into a person's soul.
